| The Caravan for Climate Justice: The African Caravan of Hope is a campaign that aims at telling the African story about climate change, whilst making known the demands of Africa people to its leaders and the rest of the world. The caravan started off its journey to The Global Summit on Climate Change (COP17) in Durban South Africa from Burundi, on its way; it will pass through Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Botswana before eventually entering South Africa where the summit will take place. It is also expected that the Caravan will be joined by another caravan that will begin its journey from Mozambique through Swaziland to South Africa. On the 12th November, Civil Society Organizations in Uganda converged at Makerere University Rugby Ground to welcomed the African Caravan of Hope and presented their petitions on climate change to the government.
