Betty Ninsiima is the office administrator. She is responsible for the smooth running of the NAPE office, and oversees reception, serves as the secretary to the Executive Director, types and prints documents, manages office records, and communication, produces the minutes of the NAPE Board and Board committees, and organizes and records internal meetings.
Rajab Bwengye is the Programme Officer in charge of Fundraising and Projects Coordination. Rajab also coordinates the Shared Resources Joint Solutions Programme (SRJS) which is being implemented in two landscapes - The Queen Elizabeth in South-Western Uganda and Muchisons in North-Western Uganda. SRJS Programme aims to strenthen partnerships of CSOs lobby & advocacy to protect International Public Goods (IPGs) - Food security, Water Suply, Climate Resilience and Biodiversity. He also cordinates the NAPE Oil governance program including advocacy actions for Oil Watch Uganda.
Kagongo Nicholas is a Field Officer, Ecosystems Restoration Project and also supports Shared Resources Joint Solutions, and Green Livelihood Alliance - Oil Drive, and Sustainability School work in Queen Elizabeth Landscape in Kasese sub-region
Robert Katemburura is the Sales and Marketing Manager at Community Green Rradio. He is in-charge of ensuring that new reporters navigate audiences to the key news content as effectively as possible. Robert also evaluates the radio audience insight and provides recommendations on marketing the community radio programs.
Precius Natulinda is a News Editor at Community Green Radio. Precious generate original ideas and approaches to the way news stories are covered. She also reviews all news and radio programme output.
Julius is the Station Manager of the Community Green Radio (CGR). Julius is in-charge of the radio programs that are aired and coordinates the schedules of the radio station. The CGR is located in Hoima.
Peruth Atukwatse is the Projects Assistant Sustainability school. Peruth also coordinates Gender Justice work at NAPE under Friends of the Earth Africa (FoEA), and is a member of Gender and Justice Working Group in FoEA. NAPE hosts Friends of the Earth FoEA secretariate, and is the Africa regional coordinator of FoE Africa Programm
Joan Akiiza is the Legal and Policy Officer at NAPE in charge of legal matters pertaining to the organization which involve case management, petitioning of national & international bodies that are linked to NAPE work in ensuring that there is compliance of social & environmental standards by private companies, she also advises the organization on issues that have legal implications. Joan also coordinates the Green Livelihoods Alliance Programme in Kalangala and Buvuma Landscape. The programme supports the improvement of ecosystems that are currently under threat. The main approach that the programme implores is lobby and advocacy and capacity building of programme stakeholders.to promote community rights and conservation. It also provides an opportunity to strengthen partnerships with the private sector to participate in conservation to ensure a win-win situation.
Catthy is the accountant. She reconciles the ledger, posts transactions to the ledger, maintains the asset register, keeps track of tax withholding and national social security transfers and other taxes, prepares documents for audits and management review. Catharine is also the project accountant of the EU funded project for "Strengthening Community Cultural Governance Systems that is implemented the districts of Hoima and Buliisa
Frank Muramuzi, Executive Director and Founding member of (NAPE), is active in many organizations including Chairperson of East African Communities Organizations for the Management of Lake Victoria Resources (ECOVIC), Uganda Chapter, Board Member of Uganda Coalition for Sustainable Development (UCSD), Founding member of African Rivers Network (ARN) and current Chairperson, Member of Dams and Development Forum (DDP) of UNEP, Nairobi. Mr. Muramuzi has led efforts to save the Mabira Forest, advocated for people affected by the Bujagli dam, spearheaded efforts to promote alternative energy in Uganda and East Africa, and fought to protect the environment and communities from big development projects.
Dennis Tabaro, Senior Program Officer in charge of finance and monitoring and evaluation, supervises all financial matters and leads efforts to improve the organization through monitoring and evaluation. He also coordinates activities on indigenous people’s knowledge and culture as it relates to environmental conservation and is a trainer for community based projects.
Allan Kalangi, Manager of Sustainability School Programme of NAPE, runs day day-to-day activities of the School, supervises Sustainability School field staff, is the officer responsible for training and professional development of staff members and assists in the public relations department. The Sustainability School is an innovative program that helps communities to organize themselves to solve emerging problems in their localities.
Sostine Namanya - Gender and Food Security Officer, overseas gender mainstreaming for all NAPE programmes, and is project officer for Amplifying Voices of Women in the Oil Debates and also handles membership in NAPE and is the liaison to local NAPE partners. Sostine also coordinates the activities of the Women Movement which is hosted by NAPE.
David Kureeba, Officer of Forests and Biodiversity, co-ordinates forest and biodiversity issues for African partners at NAPE which is the Uganda representative of Friends of the Earth (FoEI), and and analyzes the United Nations program Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and forest Degradation(REDD). David als implement the Green Livelihood Alliance (GLA) Programm which includes just transition project entitled “strengthen community cultural governance project” He support the officer in-charge of the GLA Programme for smooth implementation of the Project.
Gregory Bakunda is the Finance Officer at NAPE. Gregory is in-charge of financial records and book keeping, review monthly Bank reconciliations, review all payment requisitions in order to certify correctness and ensure that all appropriate supporting documents have been provided. He also monitors expenditures in line with budgets and in coordination with the project officers, initiate follow up action in instances where budget lines have been exceeded. Gregory also supervises and coordinates the development and implementation of organization`s financial policies, rules and regulations and make sure that every staff adheres to them.
Ritah Nalwanga is the accounts assistant. She handles payments, prepares budget and financial documents, reconciles accounts, and makes transfers to the government.
Jennifer Amejja is the Project Assistant Community Ecological Governance, and Monitoring and Evaluation at NAPE
Clare Namugumya, office attendant, is responsible for keeping the NAPE neat and clean and assisting staff with daily issues.
